SCBA

Self Contained Breathing Apparatus

  • SCBA Pack

Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) is what we use every time we are exposed to hazardous gases and harmful smoke. Here you can see the pack and a carbon fiber bottle.

  • SCBA Mask

This is an MSA brand face mask and it comes in 3 common sizes (S, M, L). It is important to have no facial hair to create the best seal. You must maintain a seal any time you are in an IDLH (immediate danger to life or health) environment.

  • SCBA Regulator

This device (pictured in his hand) is the piece that connects the pack to the mask and regulates the pressure down so that you can breath it on demand. Always keep your regulator clean and securely stored in it’s holster on your belt when not in use.
